Welcome to Dyslexia Assessment Services​

Dyslexia Assessment Services (North East) offers full diagnostic assessment conducted by a fully qualified specialist teacher who holds a current DBS certificate. Assessment can be carried out in the comfort of your own home , in a prearranged quiet room at your child's school or in a well - appointed room in an independent facility.

The earlier you can identify dyslexic tendencies, the sooner you can help your child to achieve their academic potential and boost their self esteem.

Assessments can be carried out in the following areas:

  • Newcastle

  • Sunderland

  • Durham (County Durham)

  • Middlesbrough/Stockton

  • Northumberland (Up to Morpeth/Cramlington areas)

  • North Yorkshire (Northerly areas)

 

Angela was easy to talk to and happy to chat through the process of how the assessment would work. She was very reassuring and put my son at ease after he initially felt quite apprehensive, so much so, that I believe he actually quite enjoyed the experience and Angela's company.   • 30 years of teaching experience

  • 20 years of experience as a Special Needs Coordinator in mainstream schools.

  • Qualified to provide evidence for examination concessions (access arrangements- including extra time)
